The Reichsschwert – The sword of Saint Maurice (see Oakshott, 1991:56), is kept in Weltliche Schatzkammer in Vienna, Austria. In German literature, this sword is known as the Reichsschwert (The Sword of Empire or, freely translated, the Coronation Sword). Oakshott (1991:56) classifies the Reichsschwert as Type XI with a pommel type B and a long, slender cross. Additionally, he adds that the blade is 95.3 cm and dates it to 1040-1120 A.D.
