The story: there is the famous find of block printed wool found near Chernigov city in Levenki settlement. The design of fabric has the exact parallels between the Byzantine mosaics of the Desyatinnaya church. Seems that they could influence the printed designs of Rus fabrics or else the same fabrics could have the straight Byzantine origin. We made this silk as a version of how the originally Byzantine fabric could look – colourful, picturesque, rich.
As buyers have variable requirement we prefer to discuss the needed lenght personaly after you will choose the width and make the order. We also try to cut the fabric by whole medallions.
We reconstruct fabrics basing on historical sources.
